Midget Black Wins Silver in Ice Wolves Tournament

The Janet MacDonald Mortgage Pro Midgets had an outstanding weekend at the Kingston Ice Wolves Tournament on January 2nd - 4th.  The Midgets allowed just 4 goals over 6 games losing a hard fought 1-0 loss to Gananoque in the A Final. Gananoque scored on a power play with just over 3 minutes left in regulation time.  This marks the second time this year that the Mortgage Pro Midgets were outscored by Gananoque in a tournament final. Gananoque had previously come out on top in the Gananoque Tournament in November.
 
The Midgets advanced to the final with a 2-1 quarter final win over Midget Gold and a 1-0 semi-final win over Midget Red. They had gone undefeated in round robin play on Friday and Saturday. What makes their results more remarkable is that they played the entire weekend with 8 to 9 skaters!
