Santin Masonry Red Plays R.W. Electric Purple in Bantam Division Final

The teams started the tournament facing one another in the opening game of the round robin with Purple taking a hard-fought game by a final score of 2-1.  Backed by solid goaltending from Kiara Duval (Red) and Sadie Grant (Purple), neither team would surrender another goal in their 3 other round robin games en route to playing one another again in the Championship.  The final was an intense game with end-to-end action and highlighted again by stellar goaltending at both ends.  The scoreless tie wouldn’t be broken until Red’s Emily Santin scored with only 3:47 remaining.  After a frantic and nerve-wracking final few minutes, Red emerged victorious with a 1-0 win.  Congratulations to both teams on a remarkable tournament, the Ice Wolves were well represented by hard-work, determination and a high-level of sportsmanship.
